It’s known throughout the world that 2 + 2 = 4. Math is universal because it’s exact - undisputable in any language. Understanding what works best personally and professionally is much more complex. Mastering life skills like respect, responsibility, listening, tolerance, charm, planning, persuasion and influence are critical in developing potential. Advanced Concepts customizes training to meet each clients specific training needs. Workshops are tailored to your participants’ needs and your unique environment. Participants walk away with specific action items to fine-tune their goals. (M.A.G.I.C) consists of 45 workshops, delivered in a 15 -week period. Sessions include a proven curriculum and tools delivered in a participatory learning environment. Students are encouraged to explore new techniques to embrace change. It all starts with owning their issues, whether they created them or not. Program Format: Each 2 ½ hour session: consists of three workshops Workshop topics and brief synopses: Week 1: The Power of the G.E.D: Participants will learn how much magic lies with this piece of paper. It qualifies you for federal financial aid in order to continue education pursuits. It enables you to enlist in any military branch, as long as you score high enough on the entrance exam. By passing this exam, you just proved to yourself that you can pass any exam with the proper preparation. Finishing high school sometimes is not for everyone, due to circumstances. However, you still can compete with your GED because it is accepted. And… no one gave it to you. You had to earn it. It is a springboard for you to accomplish, or be, whatever you want. The Process is always the Same : Patterns of Behavior If a person is late for class, there’s a good chance they’ll be late for work and other important appointments. If you won’t pay rent on time, you won’t pay your other bills on time. They’re patterns. But they can be changed with the right mindset and discipline. Participants will learn how to take charge of their behaviors and habits. Responsibility: You Create it All Participants will learn about responsibility, or the “ability to respond,” to any issue or endeavor that they find themselves in. People will always be held accountable. After this workshop, participants will be glad and honored to take charge of all of their issues, whether they created them or not. The goal of this workshop is to get participants to enjoy the process of becoming successful. It’s about the journey, not the destination. It’s a comical session because real life examples are demonstrated for each type of attitude. Perception is a Choice: Oftentimes, we don’t see people, things and issues the way they are. We see these things the way we are. It takes maturity and courage to see and accept reality the way it is, rather than the way we would like it to be. Perceptions are always their choice. In this workshop, participants will learn how to look at things from multiple angles before they make judgments or decisions. It’s about having courage to meet the demands of reality, and not live in fantasyland.
